Vermont Community Wind is developing a Wind Farm in Vermont, primarily in the town of Ira, with some potential wind turbine sites in Poultney and West Rutland.

Vermont will benefit from the many environmental and economic rewards generated by this Wind Farm, and from clean renewable energy made on the wind rich Taconic Mountain Ridges. Generated power will be fed directly into the Vermont electrical grid and used locally. This Wind Farm is planned to be operational, providing Vermonters with clean renewable electricity, by late 2011.
